Drug & Alcohol Testing

There are a range of reasons for wishing to carry out Alcohol or Drug Testing. Ranging from parents who want to know if their loved children are getting into some bad habits, to employers who have a duty to understand what is going on in their workplace for health & safety reasons, to people wishing to defend their position with regards to a wide range of situations.

Alcohol and Drug testing can be carried out on pre-planned, scheduled basis as well as random testing, for cause or for incident testing depending on the circumstances.

Family Tests

In person – If you need a member of your family tested for alcohol or drug use, tests can be carried out at one of our test centres or at home.

By Post – We can provide drugs test by post for you to administer yourself.

Employee Tests

Incident testing – You may need to test an employee as a result of an ‘incident’ at work. For example they may have been   accused by a colleague of drinking or taking drugs in the workplace and you need to have the employee tested before they leave your premises.

On suspicion testing – Your company Alcohol and Drugs policy may allow you to carry out tests on employees if you suspect there is a problem.

Random testing – can be carried out as part of a company policy which allows employers to carry out random tests to keep your staff and working environment alcohol and drug free.

Occupational Health – you may require to test an employee as part of their on-going addiction treatment or as part of a competency investigation.

All testing will be carried out according to strict sample collection and testing guidance and legislation. Tests can be carried out at approved test centres or generally at someone’s home or place of work.

Pre-Employment

Sometimes employers want to carry out drug and alcohol screening as part of the pre-employment selection process. You may wish to check yourself out with a test prior to an employer doing so.

Testing information for all

All information relating to tests is confidential and only disclose able to the party being tested and the party requesting and paying for the test.

Each person tested will need be required to complete a form stating that they authorise the test to be carried out as well as confirming to whom they are authorising the release of the information.
